Privacy

We don't need to know who you are. So we don't ask.

You're here to find something inexpensive to get your Amazon cart over the free-shipping threshold. That's it. We don't need to know your name, your shopping habits, or what you had for breakfast.

And we certainly don't need to follow you around the internet.

What TopUpFinder collects

When you ask for recommendations, the amount you enter is sent to TopUpFinder so the results can be calculated. We don't save your exact cart subtotal or exact gap in our analytics.

If you click a product link, we record a small first-party analytics event: the product and its position, its category, the marketplace, the time of the click, and your gap rounded to the nearest dollar. The event also contains a random browser identifier that changes daily and is stored in your browser.

This helps us understand whether the recommendations are useful without creating a personal shopping profile.

What TopUpFinder doesn't collect or retain

We don't ask for your name, email address, Amazon account information, or purchase history. We don't store full IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, outbound Amazon URLs, referrer query strings, or Amazon customer data in our database or application logs.

There are no advertising pixels or cross-site tracking identifiers. Raw analytics events are deleted after 90 days.

Why?

Because I'm a privacy nut.

I believe privacy should be built into products from the beginning, not added later when someone complains. And I don't believe using a free, simple tool should mean handing over your personal information.

There's a little more about that philosophy—and the person behind this tool—on our About page.

Your shopping is your business. Not ours.
